After 24 years, the first compilation released by pioneering Breaks label, Bolshi, is being released digitally for the first time.

Originally released in 1997, the Donuts compilation was a starting point for many artists who eventually became Big Beat icons, including LHB and Lo-Fidelity All Stars. Donuts was the first of many releases on the label, which grew into a cult favourite alongside Skint and Wall of Sound, and garnered mass interest from dance publications worldwide; including a 9/10 review in DJ Mag. The label itself was consistent with its high intense Breaks and Big Beat output, with future releases including ‘Mass Hysteria’ by Swedish underground producer Rasmus, ‘International’ by Bolshi stalwart Laidback, ‘Dig, You May Find a Friend’ by LHB, as well as many sought after 12” singles.

The digital release also coincides with founder, Sarah Bolshi’s Birthday - a fitting tribute to someone who has worked tirelessly to the top within the industry; co-founding leftfield label Sunday Best Recordings & Publishing and always championing the indie sector in the process.
